Allison Brauer, LCSW-BACS is the clinical director and owner of NOLAIH. She has over eleven years experience as a New Orleans-based social worker and continues to grow her practice in the Crescent City.
In addition to clinical services, Brauer provides business consultations and community education presentations on mental health support, signs of grief and trauma in young children, teen mental health/suicide risk, addiction recovery support and crisis response interventions and post-vention.

Do I need to come in-person?
Telehealth and phone appointments are available as an alternative to in-person sessions.

What’s your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact via phone at 504-810-3807 a minimum of 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. A full fee will be charged for appointments missed or canceled with less than a 24-hour notice. Your attention and understanding in this regard is greatly appreciated.

Do you accept insurance?
Not at this time, however you may submit all receipts as a superbill to your insurance company for reimbursement, if approved by your policy

Do I attend the session with my child or teen?
For the first appointment, in-person and online, parents of minors (17 and younger) must attend. All therapy sessions are confidential, however guardians are encouraged to participate in their child’s care and will meet with their child’s therapist at least once a month for caregiver check-ins around ongoing questions and challenges.

How much do you charge
In-person or telehealth sessions are billed at $150 per 50-minute session, payable at or before your scheduled appointment.
A limited number of sliding scale client spots are available for low-income individuals. Reach out to inquire as to how to qualify.

What's included with a free consultation?
A consultation is a brief 'meet and greet,'over the phone or via video call, that allows the therapist to introduce themselves and answer any questions or concerns regarding how therapy works and what it may look like according to the individual’s specific needs.
08.
Do you prescribe medication?
Medication is not prescribed through NOLAIH
